Jewellery Care

To keep your gold-plated jewellery in the best condition, the following steps can be taken so as to ensure minimum wear over time and use

    • Avoid wearing gold-plated items in chlorinated or salt water. Taking off this piece before swimming in pools, hot tubs or the sea is advised
    • Avoid close contact with chemicals, oils and makeup. This can be achieved by putting on this item after putting on make-up, lotions or hairspray so as to keep limited contact with any solutions
    • When cleaning, avoid wearing gold-plated pieces as the chemicals in soaps, detergents and cleaners can impact the plating

You can also implement the following for additional care
  • Clean your gold-plated jewellery from time to time. Use a mild liquid soap and warm water when doing this
Avoid any harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners
Avoid brushing or rubbing the jewellery
  • Avoiding consistent rubbing and friction will prolong the condition of your piece in general, wear the piece of jewellery by itself or apart from any other items that may rub against it
